Speakeasy Newspaper

  • Co-editor for ACLC's school newspaper, Speakeasy (August 2021-June 2022)

  • Put together four issues of the newspaper, which includes writing, editing, formatting, and advertising

  • Co-led the Speakeasy bevy

  • Managed deadlines

  • Communicated with the entire school about new issues and deadlines as well as people outside of the school in order to fund and print the newspaper

Awards & Recognitions

Alameda County Science & Engineering fair

  • Won third place (Spring 2021)

  • Planned and conducted an experiment measuring the effect of temperature and different oxidizers on the brightness of a luminol solution's glow

Girl Scout Silver Award

  • Put together portfolios for different class subjects (English, Maths, Science, Physical Education, Arts) which included interviews with people of different professions as well as activities for elementary school students (2018-2019)

  • Presented the portfolios to a class of elementary school students and led activities about it
